09/17/2005 - Fifth annual All-State Barn Tour
Over 50 barns will be open to the public during the fifth annual All-State Barn Tour, Saturday, September 17, and Sunday September 18, 2005. Twelve of the barns are completely new to the barn tour this year. Most of the barns have been restored with matching grants from the Iowa Barn Foundation. Other barns were restored by their owners, who have received awards of distinction from the Iowa Barn Foundation to acknowledge restorations they undertook themselves.

The barns on this free, self-guided tour will be open from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. both days. The Iowa Barn Foundation’s state-wide tour is the first of its kind in the United States. This tour features restored barns that have received Iowa Barn Foundation matching grants.
