MAYOR

GLORIA GUNDERSON

Gloria Gunderson became Mayor of Rolfe January 2008.
She has lived here since 1971. Charles, her husband has a private law practice and is the assistant Pocahontas County Attorney. Their family includes Christina Wehmeyer US Bank Branch Manager at Joplin, MO and Tim (Nicole and daughter, Addison) Gunderson in Cedar Rapids, IA.

The Gunderson's are active at Faith Lutheran Church. Gloria is also active in Beta Sigma Phi, P.E.O., Friends of the Rolfe Public Library and Linking Families and Communities with the Library after School Program. She has taught Sunday School, VBS, Youth Groups for over 4o years.

Gloria ran for office because she wants to do something for the community of Rolfe. She tries to filter decisions and procedures through what is the best interest for all of Rolfe and what is legal, just and fiscally responsible.

A goal remains to renew and restore Rolfe's reputation as a good place to live with a STRONG HOPEFUL FUTURE.

COUNCIL MEMBER

RICK JOHNSON

Rick Johnson has been a lifelong resident of Rolfe. He resides on Elm Street. He is employed at the Rolfe Post Office as rural carrier for RR1. His family includes his wife, Karen, son Joel(daughter in-law Silvia, and grandson Aidan) and daughter Kari. Rick was elected to the city council in 2001. He believes it is essential for the city to have good communication between city officials and citizens, cost effective operations, and honesty. Rick's other activities include serving on the Fire Board, RBI Member, Vice President at St. Paul's Church, DJSC Board Member, President of NW District of IARLCA, High School Sunday School Teacher and Board Member of RAM'S Event Center.
