Special Session

6:30 p.m. Community Center
Rolfe City Council met in Special Session on November 29, 2004 at the Community Center with Mayor Cullen presiding. Council members present were: Dreith, Higgins, Johnson and Kuchenreuther. Others present: Curt Wiseman, Marsha Cory, Dennis Fitzgerald, Dave Sandvig, Janice Young and Chief Hoopingarner.
Motion by Kuchenreuther, seconded by Johnson to approve agenda. All ayes motion carried.
City Clerk Pratt informed the council on various issues including computer problems and yearly financial report.
Mayor Cullen updated the Council on various projects including possibility of purchasing a defibulator for squad car, getting inventory from each department for insurance purposes and library board applications.
Purchasing of a backhoe was discussed. After discussion, Dreith moved Johnson seconded to purchase one from Murphy Tractor. Ayes: Dreith, Johnson, Higgins. Nay: Kuchenreuther. Motion carried.
Marsha Cory, Curt Wiseman and Dennis Fitzgerald updated the council on the sewer project. Discussion followed. Motion by Johnson seconded by Dreith to make a deposit of $l,000.00 for purchased of the land for the project. All Ayes. Motion carried.
Dave Sandvig informed the council that changes are needed on the pole behind the Community Center to accommodate the generator recently installed. Council agreed to make whatever changes that were needed.
Other items discussed were excess of garbage, council appointment, holiday closings, sound system, carpet issues.
Motion by Johnson, seconded by Higgins for adjournment. All ayes motion carried.
Next regular meeting will be held on Thursday December 9, 2004 at 6:30 p.m. at the Community Center.
