Rolfe City Council Meeting
Special Session
Monday March 2l, 2005
6:30 p.m.
Rolfe City Council met in Special Session at the Community Center with Mayor Cullen presiding. Council members present were Dreith, Johnson, Kuchenreuther, Thoren and Higgins. Also present was David Sandvig.
Motion by Dreith, seconded by Johnson to approve the agenda. All ayes motion carried.
Purchase of a city vehicle was discussed and tabled.
Second reading of Ordinance #158-Gas Rates was read. Motion was made by Johnson seconded by Kuchenreuther to approve the ordinance. Mayor Cullen called for the vote, which was recorded as AYES: Dreith, Johnson, Kuchenreuther, Thoren and Higgins. NAYS: None. Motion to waive the third reading was made by Thoren and seconded by Higgins. All ayes motion carried. Mayor Cullen declared Ordinance #158 duly adopted.
Interviews for Gas Manager were conducted. After discussion, Johnson moved, seconded by Kuchenreuther to offer the position to Glen Munson. After discussion, Johnson called for question. Mayor Cullen then called for the vote. Ayes: Johnson, Kuchenreuther, Nays: Dreith, Higgins and Thoren. Motion failed.
Motion was made by Johnson seconded by Dreith to recess until Friday, March 25, 2005 at 6:15 p.m. All ayes motion carried.
