Dog Ordinance
- Dogs are not allowed to run at large within the city limits.
- Must be restrained/controlled with either a leash, chain, or other similar restraint of sufficient strength and not more than 6-feet in length.
- A muzzled dog shall not be deemed to be restrained unless the above conditions are met.
- Dogs are not allowed to be leached within 25-feet of gas meter.
- Dogs are not allowed to cause serious annoyance or disturbance by frequent and habitual howling, yelping, or barking.
- Dogs are not allowed to run after or chase persons on bicycles or vehicles.
- It is unlawful to anyone to harbor or keep a vicious dog with the city limits.
- Dog and cat licenses are required each year. The cost is $5 per year for spaded or neutered pet and $10 per year for a non-spaded or non-neutered pet.
